Steve Parton is the RoPa Racing Team Manager, and in 2006 finished 3rd in the V Twin class of the Euopean Speer Cup. Steve races his Ducati 916 SPS, built in 1997.  A lot of work has gone into Steve's bike this Winter including; new bodywork, wheels, air intakes, swingarm and a complete new engine, to keep Steve competitive. One of his dreams is to  own a world superbike 'spec.' race bike. He is now close to achieving this.

Steve is a perfectionist out on the track, and above all consistent. These are the major secrets to his championship success. For 2007 he hopes to up the ante, and aims to finish within the top 5 of every race, thereby finishing the championship within the top 3.

When looking at some of the pictures of Steve on the track, it appears to be just as important to look cool on the bike, as it is to be quick.

Steve has also been successful off the track in developing the team, and bringing us the major sponsors for 2007. We are looking forward to a rewarding and fun season of racing, with financial backing confirmed from Oschatz, CSM Group, Ropa Stahl, Moto Mondiale Ducati Saarland, and Alloy Wire.

Steve works in the steel industry, selling specialty nickel alloy and stainless steel products, as well as waste gas cooling units for BOS Steel Plants. Further information about Steve, especially plenty of pictures, can be found on his own homepage, http://www.partonicorse.de , or contact him directly by mail at: steve@ropa-racing.de
